During the planning phase of building the Ovani packs, we started with an original design I did for a 30 days of graphic design challenge. One of the reasonings for using this design was the fact that it gave off the appearance of a cassette tape. We wanted to keep the original styling while adding a unique flare for each music pack.

Throughout the design phase, we used the Fantasy pack as the base to stem off all future designs. This pack is where you can see the greatest variance between the first drafts and the final design.

When our first pack was completed, we transferred the design to our nine other products. The first volume originally included Ambient, Chiptune, Classical, Fantasy, Horror, Japanese, Metal, Orchestral Rock, and Unplugged.

It was only after this first drop did the idea for a Volume 2 came and with it, the need for innovation. With alterations to the paper texture, as well as adding plastic wrap and stickers to help set them a part, we had a path for what the future volumes would look like.

In addition to music, Ovani also produced a wide range of sound effects. From foley to voices, and everything in between, they had an extensive catalog of SFXs. But the one question that was on everybody's mind: "How do we present this?"

We knew we didn't want to just repeat the music pack layout we had done for the other volumes. It could confuse our customers and detract from the music packs as a whole. We needed a whole new layout, and that's when the idea appeared. Ovani roots were music creation for game development, and so to the roots we would return.

With this direction in mind, the line of sound effect packs was born. The first set included the following: Computers and Machines, Hollywood Action, Horror and Suspense, Jingles and Stingers, Medieval, Monsters and Creatures, Motion and Impacts, Retro Gaming, Science Fiction, and UI and Menus.

Being able to partner with Ovani to help bring their product to life has been a joy and a blessing! The creativity and collaboration with their team are nothing short of awe-inspiring. I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this endeavor and am excited to see where the future takes them!
